Helen Holdsworth

Helen Holdsworth, Psychologist and Director of Holdsworth Psychology

Helen Holdsworth is a Psychologist with a passion for diagnostic assessment. She has been conducting assessments for the past 15 years. She prides herself on providing a comfortable, safe and inclusive experience for her clients. She has a relaxed approach and works through a neurodiversity-affirming lens meaning she appreciates that we are all different in the way that we think, learn and express ourselves. We all have unique strengths and differences and assessments can be a first step in understanding and accepting your brain style and forming an authentic identity.

Helen has experience working as a Senior Clinician in both out-of-home-care and disability services, as a Guidance Counsellor in education settings, and as a research officer for Mater Research with children and families on the Australian Autism Biobank Study and the Preschool Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Tonsillectomy, Adenoidectomy (POSTA) Study. Helen has been in private practice since 2016.

Helen completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at Griffith University and postgraduate studies at the University of Southern Queensland. Helen is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), has membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is a Medicare provider.

Helen is also a Board-approved supervisor and passionate about supervising Psychologists in assessments at all stages of their career.
